Travel Digest

#1 Atomic bombs and Lake Hart, Outback, Australia

First, @overlandjournals combines travel and history in this vlog, as he takes us through the South Australian outback. He starts in Woomera, which is where Great Britain tested its atomic bombs and other weapons between 1947 and 1971. Interestingly, the Woomera Prohibited Area is the same size as England itself. He then continues to the beautiful inland salt lake, Lake Hart, which used to be mined for high-quality table salt given its lack of gypsum.

#2 Bribes and waterfalls, Dominican Republic

Next, @daveonarrival and FunForLouis get pulled over for speeding on their last day in the Dominican Republic. Instead of appearing in court at a later date, they pay the bribe/fine and give the cop a selfie. On their way again, they make a quick stop at a large waterfall before heading to the airport and to say goodbye and flying to their respective homes.

#3 Porto Cristo and the Dragon Caves, Mallorca, Spain

Finally, @fromheart takes us to the east coast of Mallorca, Spain to explore the small town of Porto Cristo and the Dragon Caves. Both can easily be combined in a day trip. The beautiful stalactite caves are 1.7 km long and are home to one of the largest underground lakes in the world—Lake Martel. Unfortunately, it is very touristy, but if that doesn't bother you, it's worth a visit.

It's pretty sweet, hey?

Yaaaasss indeed. One day I will collect enough money and time to go to such place. Preferably before I’m geriatric XD.

Thanks Harry! Waterfalls are always good.

That was a cool and yet not unusual story.
