#1 Travel diaries day 1: From Caucasus to Tbilisi

First today, @ctdots is back with a new adventure. This time he is travelling from Caucasus to Tbilisi, Georgia. While in the countryside his tip is to negotiate a meal with guesthouses since they offer better value than the local restaurants. That said, the locals are very hospitable and typically offer food to travellers anyway. Leaving his guesthouse in the pouring rain, he makes it to Tbilisi, taking in the sights of Narzan and Ananuri along the way. Once in the city, he learns that business works differently compared to what he's used to.

#2 Beauties of Yucatan: the magnificent salt lakes of Xtampu

Next, @phortun takes us to the Yucatan area of Mexico to explore the salts lakes of Xtampu. These gorgeous lakes are 10 km from Telchac Puerto or one hour's drive from Merida. Sunlight, time of day, and miniature crustaceans in the water determine the lakes' colour. Although bird life (e.g. flamingoes) is abundant, they are quite shy and tend to stay far away. Salt is still harvested from the lakes, which you can buy from the locals who've been harvesting it for thousands of years.

#3 The Magical City of Varanasi

Finally, @liquidtravel takes us to Varanasi, India. Not only is it one of the world's oldest cities, but Varanasi is a holy—and completely vegetarian—city. Hindus come here every year to worship, mourn, and die. Everything revolves around the river Ganga, and it has been the religious centre of northern India for thousands of years. The city offers visitors numerous things to see and do. This includes visiting the ruins of nearby Sarnath, the site of Buddha's first sermon and the birthplace of Buddhism.
