Since the creation of the world, many events have fluctuated, political conditions have changed, geopolitical rise has influenced human life. Yet some memories, some memorable symbols keep the ages alive after the ages.

It is a memorable place, Mainamati war cemetery located in Bangladesh's Comilla district. A cemetery of soldiers killed in World War II. Although there are such memorial tombs in many Asian countries. Actually, I used to spend some time traveling in Comilla city some days ago, some of which are shared with you today.

There is still a lot of curiosity among us in World War II. Because the world's geopolitical picture was changed after World War II. So there are many stories about this war, and these tombs are a witness of time.

Bangladesh was then a part of the Indian sub-continent, under British rule. So in honor of the British soldiers killed in the war, two tombs were built in Chittagong and Comilla's Mainnamati. It is buried here, 736 warriors of enemy-ally, if they were followers of different religions.

The incident took place in 1941-1945 in the neighboring country of Burma, 45 thousand Commonwealth soldiers were killed. In order to protect the memory of all the soldiers who were killed in these battles, 9 ransom arrangements were made in Burma, Assam and Bangladesh. Although the cemeteries are still managed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Every year many tourists come to respect the soldiers killed.
