Yesterday was a holiday for the Jeollanamdo area, because of local voting, so I had the day off. For the day off, my friend and I visited the Image Theme Park. I have already been here once, it was one of my first post on this site, but my friend has not been here before, so we thought what better opportunity do we have? Her dad wanted to come and see this place for the importance it has held for producing Korean historical dramas, but the weather and timing weren't right for it. I got some new shots this time around, and I will share it with you all 😁

I like how this place has film sets for peasant homes. It feels like whenever you see a traditional Korean place, it is always upper-class style. This though, this is the real Korean's home. Okay, it is still a set piece... regardless it is refreshing to see.

Then we have some kind of barns or stables for animals. Animals that they had were peculiar a mini horse, rabbits, chickens, and..... a turkey? What? Someone correct me if I am wrong but a turkey is a North American bird.

Day to day streets

This would be within the first wall of the city, past the farmlands and into the more of the center of commerce.

I also did not see this the last time I was here. It appears to be a kiln of some sort? Not sure if it is operational because the outside is plaster. On the other hand, there were banners for a pottery class with a ton of bowls on display. That would have been awesome to be a part of. I guess I will have to keep my eyes peeled for that opportunity next year!

This is a kind of palace set from an older period before Joseon, It is quite smaller than the castle in the thumbnail.

In the Third Wall

This one is in the big palace, I was going for more of a cheeky Deadpool pose.

This room is the full set for one of the actress's characters that played the King's Consort.

After the Park

Since this is out in the country we wait for a half hour to catch a bus... and guess what? The bus drove right past us! We were at the stop, we waved, and he kept on going, then decides to stop for 10 seconds 2 blocks ahead. Asshole bus driver. When we took off to try and make the bus, this old man told us weren't going to make it. Next bus wasn't going to be for another two hours, so we looked to get a taxi. No taxis were out this far. So, we started walking...to a place we can hail a cab. Fortunately, that old man and his family drove past us, stopped and gave us a ride, more, thankfully, they live in the area we were heading, what luck!

After we got back, we had some lunch, nothing too special just I had a lot of meat and we tried to see the new Star Wars movie. Unfortunately, the movie theater didn't have it, take the good with the bad I guess. So, we had some ice cream. It was the day before my birthday yesterday, so I tried getting free ice cream, no dice though. Whatever still got my rainbow sherbet and pineapple icecream 😋
