Malaysia Diaries || National Monument & Istana Negara , Kuala Lumpur

in #travelfeed5 years ago

Hello everyone, good day ...

Today I am here with another post about my travel to Malaysia. Well, I believe that when you are in mood for travelling but can't manage for it , it's better to write about your travel journey history. May be it will change your mood a little bit.

I have written a post few days back about Malaysia Diaries || Genting Highland and Suria KLCC (Petronas Tower) , where I have share two amazing must visit place of Malaysia and also I have shared my experiences.

So, today I am going to write another two beautiful places of Malaysia , Kuala Lumpur .

Many of you might already know that Malaysia is a really a beautiful country for travelling plus you can visit a lot of beautiful places and can explore their culture. It was really short tour for me so , I couldn't manage time to visit all the places. So, I have visited some historical and famous spots of Malaysia like Genting, Putrajaya , Kaula Lumpur.

So, first place I am going to share about National Monument.

National Monument:

This iconic , historical landmark situated in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia which signifies the martyrs who sacrificed their life in Malaysia's struggle for freedom , against the Japanese occupation during World War II. For more details you can visit here. It is built in 1966 and situated in the center of KL city and famous place for tourists.

When, you will go there, first thing you will see grand entry which follows Islamic Architecture style. Grand plaza with stairs , arch shape entry and shiny golden color dome will really invite you to explore inside. Also you will see a little bit glance of the landmark.

I know those who live in Malaysia , already know about this place. Entire complex designed by Felix de Weldon , inspired by Islamic Architecture.

When you enter into the complex, you will see Arch style corridor on both side because in middle you will see this amazing water-body with fountain. Kind of floral style fountain and use of blue tiles really creates a vision of blue water.

And after that water body , in the middle of entire complex , that Landmark sculpture situated.

Design. Commissioned in 1963 and constructed in 1966, the sculpture that stands as a centrepiece of the monument is 15 meters (49.21 feet) tall, made of bronze and was designed by Austrian sculptor Felix de Weldon, who was also responsible for the Marine Corps War Memorial in Virginia, United States. source.

Also a drone footage will help you more to understand the entire structure or how it looks like... Really a great concept.

From , architectural perspective , this can be an example for Landmark Design and as a tourist, you will enjoy your time here a lot...

And the fun part............ LOLLL....

Though it was really hot day but I have enjoyed my time there and learnt a little bit about Malaysian History and of course about Islamic Architecture....

Istana Negara , Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia :

I also visited this amazing residential project called the " Istana Negara ", situated in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . Another famous spot for tourists. This is actually residential complex and official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong who is the monarch of Malaysia.

The Istana Negara (Malay for National Palace) is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the monarch of Malaysia. It is located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim (formerly Jalan Duta) in Segambut, northwestern Kuala Lumpur. The palace opened in 2011 and replaced the old Istana Negara which was located at a different compound in central Kuala Lumpur. source.

Entire complex area is almost 97.65 hectares including 22 domes and is separated into three main zones: the Formal Component, Royal Component and Administration Component.

Yellow color domes are so iconic and big domes consist some pattern to separate from common domes. Front elevation is quiet unique and green space denotes an exquisite design of Landscaping.

In the picture, you can see the grand entrance and many tourists visit there every single year. Obviously ,you have to maintain an opening hour because otherwise it can be close for you. You can't enter into the complex so from outside you have to enjoy this complex....

I hope you have enjoyed my entire Malaysia , travel journey...

See you soon with another travel diary...

Love

Priyan...
