It is the only country in Latin America, where English and Spanish are official languages of the government, while people also speak creole and mayan. A third of the population has African heritage and a big part of the country is still influenced by Mayan culture.

Today we’d like to show you, in our opinion, the best Colombian city. Due to the Netflix series “Narcos” about Pablo Escobar’s drug kingdom city of Medellin became viral during last years. Columbians aren’t proud of that, but for sure this increased number of people travelling there. Of course, we have seen this series, but it wasn’t the reason of our visit.

Boquete and Volcan are two Panamanian small cities located on two different slopes of the volcano Baru. While I was in Boquete, she was in Volcan. Thus we decided to go see her in Volcan. We rented a car and drove from Boquete to Volcan.
