There are many reasons why having a machete in your car may be beneficial here in Panama. We've learned that they're great if you encounter an overgrown cactus on the way into the neighborhood. They're also great if you find a coconut and want to bust it open on the way home. Another reason was added to our list today.

Because of the Eurail pass, we decided to take the overnight train in a deluxe sleeper compartment. It had everything you need for a comfortable train ride. First of all, we were provided with a comfy bunk bed which was necessary for an overnight train.

There are two main types of bus stops in Taichung Taiwan. The one on the left are the normal ones, this bus stop was blown over 90 degrees by the typhon the other year so the sign is sideways. The other ones are the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) bus station
