Boulders on Noosa Beach.

This is my entry for this weeks #bouldersunday challenge hosted by @shasta

Australia is well known for their iconic beaches which include the longest stretches of coastline in the world. Noosa is just one of these places and the photos below feature the areas beneath Noosa National Park which is around the corner from the Main Beach which is a sandy, patrolled area.

Noosa, is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. There is a great choice of beaches available but the carefully patrolled Main Beach draws crowds from all parts of the world.

Popular for its unsurpassed beauty and many attractions, Noosa is situated on the Sunshine coast of Queensland, Australia and is only a 90 minute drive from Brisbane. It is nestled between fabulous parks, gorgeous beaches, lush hinterland and the Noosa National Park itself.

Locals would much prefer the place to themselves but they can't be greedy. Golden sands, azure blue waters make for many enjoyable hours in the sun and the area is known for its rich marine life and onshore wildlife.

Adventure activities include sailing the pristine waters of Laguna Bay, surfing the breaks, paddle boarding, kayaking, bush walking, and fishing. Sunset cruises are also popular where it is possible to go swimming with humpback whales, For those interested in relaxation, the numerous day spas, restaurants and cafes and world class golf courses simply cannot be overlooked.

Villa and resort accommodation is plentiful in this charming seaside village, with some conveniently placed near the Noosa River everglades. Shoppers delight in the treats awaiting them in Hastings street, the main shopping area of Noosa.

The pedestrian-friendly street runs adjacent to the waterfront, so when one has indulged themselves with designer shopping, dined al fresco style or fine dining one can stroll the short distance and allow the beauty of the sea and the beach to work its magic. This image was captured beneath a nature walk at the entrance to the National Park where inlets and coves offer secluded areas to swim or relax.

It is not unusual to see dolphins frolicking close to the beach and whales also are a regular attraction. Ideal surf conditions especially around the Noosa Park headlands provide the perfect location with which to host the yearly Noosa Festival of Surfing every March.

THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.

Thanks so much @janton Yes, there are so many wonderful beaches available on the Sunshine Coast and as it is not to far from home, we enjoy many day trips up that way.

You are most welcome @trudeehunter!
We sure would love that, especially about
right now of to many snow days lol
How close are those Opal mines? :-)

The nearest opal mine to Brisbane from what I can gather is in Winton, Queensland and it is apparently, producing amazing boulder opals at the moment.
