Everyone on the beach, and we are in a Museum! The exposition of the sea in Agyia-Napa, Cyprus
Many of our friends and acquaintances consider me and my wife strange. The fact is that we often travel not only to different countries, but also like to visit any interesting places that we can find on the way.
Even during a holiday in a warm country, many friends do not understand how you can prefer a trip to the Museum beach holiday on the beach!
Yes, we are just like that! Don't feed us bread, but let's go out and explore something. We never lie and sit in one place, because the spirit of adventure is more important to us than the result of many hours of sun exposure.
There are usually so many beautiful places that even a lifetime is not enough to see all the interesting and beautiful. And it may not necessarily be an exhibition or a Museum. My wife and daughter and I equally love long trips to the unknown territories, where we are waiting for the great discoveries. And let these discoveries have already been made by someone before us, but we have not seen them ourselves, and, therefore, for us personally, every trip or hike is a big deal!
Once we discovered a great Museum in Cyprus. The Museum was devoted mainly to the sea, but there was also a large exhibition dedicated to the fine art of local artists. At first I wanted to combine our whole trip to the Museum in one article, but I took a lot of pictures, so I thought and decided that today I will write about the main exhibition, and about the pictures I will do another time.
We found the Museum quite quickly. In the city of Agyia-Napa it is difficult not to notice, because the building is large and modern, and on the map for tourists it is marked by a large icon.
Tickets were not expensive, so we boldly entered the cool shadow of the building and plunged into the world of nature of Cyprus. At the entrance we were met here is a marine life. More precisely, it is his skeleton. At first I thought it was a representative of the Jurassic world, but it turned out that it was just someone from a small cetacean.
The Museum is divided into several large sections. The art of artists is located on the first floor, there is also a small exhibition of miniature ships and boats. Then you go into a huge room with several stairs.
In one of the high halls there is a huge screen, Ana which is constantly a film about the sea and its inhabitants. If desired, each visitor can sit in a chair and delve into the view. Here, under the glass and in the open, there is a huge number of stuffed fish and marine life.
I was struck by a huge ship, which is placed in the center of one of the halls. Here, the reconstruction with informai that the divers found on the bottom of the sea. All the exhibits that were raised on the surface, exhibited in the Windows and beautifully illuminated by lamps.
Below there is a ground floor. Here is just a lot of interesting. This stuffed coastal birds, and huge shells and dried crabs. We spent most of our time here. Exhibits a lot, and there are small, but so want to have time to see more!
Already leaving the Museum, I noticed how deceptively small its external dimensions seem, because inside the building is much larger. And I would advise every vacationer to look here. This not only diversifies your leisurely vacation, but also add a lot of information and knowledge about what kinds of fish, and shells.
