I could have spent hours yesterday in the town of Grand Detour, Illinois just taking pictures of trees! There were some incredible homes and churches to take pictures of, and the museum site of John Deere's home and blacksmith shop is interesting, but the trees were simply wonderful.
This one was one of many grand old trees in the front yard of a home.

The tree looks very beautiful, especially in the middle of stem pohonng that there is a hole unique. So the tree have the art and beauty very impressive. Images of the tree is perfect to be used as a Photo contest. It was tremendous beauty owned by the tree. Congratulations and successful my sister.

@melinda010100, I like to pay attention to old trees too. They've seen so much in their long lives. Maybe it's the hollow of the tree was someone's home or a safe shelter. Good shot!
I bet someone has lived in there, birds or raccoons. It would make a good shelter!

I saw some little nuthatches near the hole- maybe they live in there, but I am certain it makes a great home for someone!
