Mushrooms on dead trees - it's #treetuesday!

in #treetuesday5 years ago (edited)

This #treetuesday hosted by @old-guy-photos I want to take a look at dead trees

A dead tree still contains energy and nutrients.
Nature is fantastic. Dead things help other things to grow and develop.
The energy stored in a tree can be transferred e.g. into thermal energy by burning it.
But if it's left alone the nutrients will help to develop other things and creatures.
Mushrooms will grow on it, bugs and hymenoptera love it.

This post is dedicated to death trees

Death trees are as important as living trees for mother nature.
Perhaps it also happened to you once. You picked up a piece of wood in the forest and let it fall down again frightened by all the even more frightened creatures living on the bottom of it.

This tree give live to mushrooms

Let us zoom in on the beautiful mushrooms

So don't forget: dead trees are also important

They are a habitat for fascinating creatures!

OK, you can't always be sure about it

But believe me ... also this dead tree is important for nature!
