Tree Tuesday With Poetry
This is my quick addition to the #treetuesday challenge created by @old-guy-photos... Besides sharing pictures of trees I have photographed throughout the years, I thought I would share a poem I had written several years ago... I used to write quite a bit of poetry, but the site I had uploaded it to, was an old Yahoo group that was created by someone who lost their internet, and in turn, all poetry that was "saved" there...was lost...
... lesson learned; save your work...
Ok...there are trees in this shot too, but ultimately, I was photobombed by my stepdaughter's cat Gizmo...
Noone thinks to look up, and what a shame, as there is always beauty to be seen in the sky, clouds, and...trees..
This poetry, as I said, was written a long time ago... I have never had any kind of formal training; I'm sure it isn't properly, nor grammatically correct... but I hope you enjoy it...
We all start as something; leaves on a tree
High above
Like some, we see more; higher than most
And yet unable to see the end
As we fall, what will hurt
And the falling never did, only the knowing
The knowing of the how, and the why
Will we be saved; collected, preserved
Or will we fall, and burn, and end
We all start as something; leaves on a tree

Love the poem Wes and brought a tear to my eye. Maybe I read more into it than was intended and I'm just a sappy kinda soul. There is actually a tag for #lookingup by @melinda010100 & @pixelfan and another tag #lookaround by @manorvillemike. Looking up is pretty obvious and look around is photos from one spot or close to same spot. Both great tags! I love the photos and the photobomb too.
Appreciate your kind words my friend; I was dealing with many things in life when I wrote this poem... pending divorce, terrible migraine headaches (this was before my MS diagnosis), I had been informed I was losing my job (yes, the one I was contaminated at) and had been removed from my online schooling university for lack of attendance. Needless to say, I was in quite a "down" time period in life. I was looking out the window one morning at the trees, and started to think... what if leaves were people?
The rest just kind of fell in place; I don't think about writing poems, and I haven't in some time. Just spontaneous I suppose... at any rate, thank you again for popping in...greatly appreciate the tag information as well; I will have to try and remember for another relevant post...

Coming from you, that's quite a compliment...thank you very much, my friend. As I stated... its just something that I used to do. Helped me to deal with things that were going on at the time. If I remember correctly, I wrote most of the poetry when I should have been doing my college classes... I finished the assignments of course...just didn't get a lot of sleep lol...
Well I must admit writing if any type but especially poetry is not my forte
Although I did well at all other subjects English I just scrapped through
