What Does Coherence Mean To Me?- TribeSteemUp BiWeekly Question

What does Coherence mean to me?

Another huge question for the Tribe, that was put forward by @tibra. I could begin to talk about the need for coherence within so many aspects of our lives. That in coming together and being in coherence with one another, with the environment we live in, we can move forward. But none of that really matters if we are not experiencing Coherence of Self.

If we really wish to move forward in life, we need to look at how we are interacting with nature, with our natural environment, with our natural self. Too often we hear people describe how something is missing in there lives, that they feel empty. Well something is missing, it is something that has been forgotten. When we are born, we instinctively listen to our inner voice, our inner wisdom. It guides us and helps us navigate our way around. But very quickly we are told to listen to others, to follow others, to trust others over ourselves. To quieten that inner voice that keeps us connected to our natural self, to nature. We begin at an early age, to look outwards for answers, for guidance ,as that is what we are taught to do. And with that comes the move away from our natural state of being.

We share a connection with all living things, we share and exchange energy and when we tune in to that we feel that connection, we have an understanding and a deep respect for ourselves an our natural environment. For we are nature, we are made of this earth and to it we will return, there was never any mystery for me with regards to this, it was something I knew since I was a child and something I have carried with me.

Nature has a natural flow of energy, we share in that flow yet we do not fully experience it if we place ourselves apart or above nature. When we allow our ego to take over, when we become more defensive, more reactive, more dominant. Believing that everything in nature is ours for the taking. This seed is planted in us at an early age, to always strive to become better and succeed, to segregate ourselves from others and work towards individual goals, to seek our individual fortune. This leads to destructive lifestyles, to the destruction of nature. This dominant worldview that so many have over nature.

Rarely are we taught the value and importance of honouring and embracing our natural self, the self that is more open and empathic, that embraces love. Love for ourselves and others.

Everything we do needs to start, needs to come from love, but none more so than self love. When we embrace ourselves we are embracing nature, because we open ourselves up to give and receive love. We allow ourselves to remember, to re connect with our inner voice, our inner wisdom that speaks of our connection with nature, we allow ourselves to feel that connection. So how we treat our natural environment is a true reflection of how we treat ourselves. We can choose ego and become destructive, justifying our actions as we believe we are above all other living things. Or we can choose to listen, to hear and know that whatever we do to nature we do to ourselves.

We are not separate. We need the elements to survive, to thrive, what is within, is without. We are part of the cycle of life, we can deny and turn away from it and create a lifestyle that goes against all that we instinctively know, but we will never feel satisfied, we will always be looking for something. We will be missing something!

Because of the way so many people live their lives today it can be very difficult to maintain this level of self coherence. There is this constant need to move faster, to get everything done as fast as possible. Everything is done within certain time frames, so many become used to being told when to get up, go to work and eat. Routines are put in place from a very young age to facilitate this time of lifestyle as you get older. Most Work hours reflect School hours, the same can be said for lunch breaks. It is hard then to actual take the time to actually connect with oneself and for some the idea of connecting with their true self can seem absurd.

There is a freedom to behold when we are being our true self. We are listening to ourselves, we are taking back control of our health, our education and some become quite frighten when they see this level of freedom, they become intimidated. When you have been told constantly what to do from a young age, the thought of thinking for oneself can seem rather daunting.

When we listen to ourselves, we become more in balance, we become more accepting. Everything in our life will flow more easier. That does not mean that life will be always be easy, but we will live with more awareness and more clarity. This then changes how we interact with others, with the world. Our ability to come together, to see the similarities within one another is easier and we can begin to celebrate our differences. Our ability to live in coherence with others is also greater, but it always has to start with ourselves first.

For me Coherence is about being in tune,
it is about having the ability to be independent in what you are doing whilst being in tune with the whole, with nature. Where you are co-operating with nature by being yourself and expressing your one true self.
whilst all the time working towards a better reality, a better world.
Living in Coherence is about knowing who you are,
it is being really in tune with yourself, loving and respecting yourself and allowing that to flow our from you into the world.

As we are all so diverse here on Steemit, I would love to know 'What does Coherence mean to you.'

Beautiful..couldnt say it better myself. If yiu dont mind Ill refer to this in my own answer when I get around to it x 💛💛 Coherance with nature is everything we need.

thank you @riverflows, I do not mind at all, it is a huge compliment to me that you wish to refer to it xxx

Your thoughts on coherence are very insightful. I recognize the difficulty I have with trusting my own intuition. I recognized from an early age that I sought outside advice and affirmations and that has carried into my adult life too. In the past 8 years I have asked myself more about myself. As a mom, I am constantly inundated with unsolicited advice. Just recently, I turned to some other moms for advice but I.nothing quite felt right. I tried to implement others suggestions but the result wasn't positive for myself or my kids. With that I built my own plan and implemented it with confidence and my kids and I are much happier because of that decision.

I guess what I am trying to say is that while community support is important, what's more important is knowing ourselves and recognizing that only we can truly know what's best for us and our family. When we rely to heavily on others it can muddy our perception and make life feel more challenging. Great post! -Aimee

Thank you Aimee, it can be a long journey back to oneself, everything we have been taught is about journeying away from trusting ourselves, but we hold so much wisdom inside. I am glad that you have been able to listen to yourself, you are the only one who knows what is best for you and your family, for that is your path in life. Much love and respect to you mama xx
