Navratri is the nine-day festival celebrated in Hinduism in honour of the Goddess Durga, the embodiment of Shakti.

Shakti is the life-giving and creative force, flowing through the universe. Navratri is divided into three parts of three. In the first three days we honour the Goddess Durga in her form Kali Ma. This is a purifying aspect of the Shakti energy. We start with this so that a clean base can be made for the building energies that will follow in the next six days. Today we arrived on the second day of the worship of this purifying energy in the form of Ma Brahmacharini.

Ma Brahmacharini is said to have wanted Lord Shiva as her consort and to that end she did penance for hundreds of years eating very little or nothing at all and her penance was so strong and pure that it had an effect on all three worlds: physical, mental and spiritual and eventually her wish to have Lord Shiva as a divine consort next to her was fulfilled.
Ma Brahmacharini gives emotional strength and helps you to keep your mental balance even in the face of many challenges. She will help you not to get disheartened. Her blessings help you get rid of greed, laziness and selfishness.
I want to invite you to connect with the purifying aspect of the feminine Divine today and to lay at her feet what you want to achieve if you have not already done so.
If you have already done so, remember your intention and ask if all that is still present in you or your environment that is hindering you from reaching your full potential and fulfilling your goals, will be transformed into love. Always wish with an open heart.

Today I invite you to:

• Make sure that your candle in your pot or dish that symbolises your own hara or womb burns as long as possible to ignite the flame in your pelvic area.
• Honouring the Goddess in yourself by paying extra attention to your clothing today. Choose a piece of clothing that makes you feel feminine with a color that suits your current energy. Add something shiny or sparkly to your appearance and finish with a nice scent.
• To experience more connection with the Goddess, you may practice the short and easy mantra that can be heard at the beginning of the Navratri meditation of these nine days. OM DUM DURGAYA NAMAHA. You can repeat this mantra throughout the day to assist you in your process. It gives extra transformative power.
• The Navratri meditation. Light an extra candle in front of your Goddess image for this meditation.
We will continue this meditation in these nine days every day to give it extra power.
The you-tube for this meditation is included below.

A lot of fun and transformation for you!
