A TRIP TO THE CABIN
Mark woke up very early in the morning, went to the kitchen and prepared himself a hot cup of tea, he sat on the sofa with a newspaper in his hand. While he was reading the paper and drinking his tea, a thought suddenly came to his mind, it’s been 2 years since he last saw his friend after graduation, he said, am gonna give them a call and plan a trip to get together. He search online for a cabin, he found one but little did he know that the trip will be unforgettable and a nightmarish one.
He picked up his phone, called Jake…. (phone ringing on the other end) Jake picked his phone….and the following conversation took place.
Jake: Hello Mark, it’s been a while
Mark: How are you Jake?
Jake: I’m Fine, so what made you remember me today
Mark: yeah you know it’s been long we all saw each other, so I took the initiative to plan a trip for us to reminisce on old times
Jake: so what do you got planed, because am a busy person I don’t really have time to play around
Mark: it’s nothing much just planned a trip for us guys, you can come along with your girlfriend.
Jake: when are we going on this trip?
Mark: on the weekend, make sure we all meet at my place, so we can all go together
Jake: okay Mark, will see you weekend
Mark cut the call and dialed his other friend Scots, the above conversation also took Place, mark was the guy that always appears strict among them, Jake was the workaholic guy no time leisure kinda guy, Scots was optimistic about going on the trip, but he later succumbed due to mark incessant request. Seeing that al two of his friends has agreed to go on the trip, he started thinking of what to prepare for the trip, he asked his girlfriend (Chloe) for help which she did. So everything was all set all that remains is for the day.

TRIP DAY…..
Around 7am Mark and his girlfriend were already up very early and had done all preparations, they both sat down for tea and wait for his two friends. Scot was the first to arrive, he came alone since he doesn’t have a girlfriend, they waited for Jake and after an hour he arrived and apologized that he had to take care of an important work, he also came with his girlfriend, the girls introduced themselves, of cause the only one without a girl is Scot but he doesn’t really seem concerned at all.
They set out on their Trip, after a while they engaged in discussions, mark was driving so he didn’t really took active part in the conversation, then all of a sudden an animal ran across the car, almost making Mark lost control of the wheel, one of the girls shout out “this is a bad omen” the cabin is located outside the town they leave in so it took them time before they finally arrived.
On getting there, they each unload their luggage’s, Mark was the first to pick a room, then Scot who really don’t care if he picked the tiniest of room stayed outside to look around the cabin, on getting to the shed he found a lot of tools which will be useful for them and also discover that something doesn’t seem right, he didn’t really take cognizance of it and left.
That Night………
They all sat outside round the fire the make and shared barbeque which they prepared and also opened a bottle of wine, they all engage in one conversation or the other at least that’s the purpose of the trip, they all drank and ate, it was getting really dark, so they all went to their rooms, Scot was the last to sleep has he was walking around the rooms he discovered that something or someone has definitely been in the house, he went further to check but didn’t see anyone so he dismissed it, and went off to bed, while he was preparing to sleep he heard something fall in the sitting room, he went to check and noticed that a vase is on the ground, he wondered how the vase came to be on the ground, he went back to sleep.
The next Morning the guys wake up and discovered that the girls are missing, Scot told them that a he feels that someone was in the cabin with them last night, they went outside in the woods to look for them, after searching and they still couldn’t find them they decided to go back to the cabin, in the cabin, mark noticed a secret room, it was locked from the inside so he called to the attention of Scot and Jake, they broke the door and at their surprised saw the girls all tied up to a chair. They rushed in and asked them how they got there, as they were asking they got attacked from behind and fell unconscious, when they came to, they discovered they are tied up, and saw two men in front of them looking ragged and hefty and around them was human part cut to piece, so it turns out they eat humans, there has been a history surrounding the cabin anybody that goes in do not come out at all, on seeing this Mark was very terrified, he was already regretting planning the trip, Jake was also scared, Scot was calm he didn’t panic, the two men leave the room to make preparations, scot was able to untie himself, he managed to untie mark, as he was trying to untie scot he hears foot step, they quickly went back to the position when they were still tied.
As the two men were trying to take Mark girlfriend away, they rushed them and attack in the process left both unconscious, mark went to untie his girlfriend, Scot also untie Jake, and his girlfriend, they all made their way outside to their car leaving the wood that night.
Mark planed a trip to the cabin in the wood not knowing it was going to be an unforgettable one for him, since then he never bring any suggestion of going out on trips. The three guys went on to their daily activities.
