Competition for STEEM Payouts.. Are SMTs the Solution to Our Problems??

Competition for earning STEEM will become greater and greater as we see more and more talented users join the platform.

We've recently hit 1 Million accounts on the blockchain and many people who have been around for a little while have seen the effects of more users as well as a higher STEEM price.

For one, it is more difficult to mine STEEM, which makes sense when compared to other crypto models as well.. It's going to continue to get more and more difficult to earn STEEM by creating content.

So what's a content creator going to do when we hit 10m or 100m accounts?

I think the answer lies in SMTs. If you really think about the curve of STEEM as it grows harder and harder to earn it and consider that the platform is built around content creation and proliferation, then you'll realize there needs to be another solution.

SMTs will allow content creators to get rewarded for more niche-specific creations... Dlive may have their own token, Dtube another, Steepshot another...

Each SMT will provide a new way to earn on the blockchain, which will solve the issue of it being too hard to earn a living solely off the earnings of STEEM.

But in the meantime, it's still important to earn as much STEEM as you can! Each STEEM is going to become more and more valuable the harder it gets to earn them!!!
