Utorrent elected to be a part of TRON Super Representative Club!

On 11th August, Reddit users announced that Tron advertisements were being aired on the uTorrent application. A few days ago Justin Sun (Honcho of TRON) announced the buy of Bittorrent, one of the most common protocols for transferring large files using the peer-to-peer protocol (P2P)

The advertisement has appeared on the platform directly in the wake of uTorrent’s entry into the Tron Super Representative club.

Justin Sun on Twitter announced:

“µTorrent got elected by the community to become #TRONSR … We welcome the community to keep voting! $TRX”

The announcement was followed by the Vice President of Engineering of uTorrent, David Rees talking about Tron Super Representative and the Tron community. The Vice President said that they were looking to leverage their experience in the peer-to-peer technology such as cryptocurrency. uTorrent team was trying to play a major role in the cryptocurrency market and the “obvious partner” for this was Tron. This update was followed by a lot of positive comments on Reddit.

uTorrent is not the first torrent application that the Tron Foundation has partnered up with after the BitTorrent tie up that had caused quite the positive stir in the cryptoverse.

Super Representative members of the Tron Foundation have a diligent role to play in the functionalities of the Tron Foundation. The Super Representative candidates will oversee the minute workings of the Foundation and carry forward commands that will have direct implications on the Tron Network.

With Tron launching multiple projects in the near future, the Foundation has stated that the Super Representative Club has to step up and take charge of any mishaps that occur on the system.
