The US is withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan for the Iranian nuclear program, US President Donald Trump said during a press conference in the White House.

"The agreement only allowed Iran to expand its nuclear program." The agreement was fictional, we have evidence that Iran's promises were lies, it was a one-sided decision that did not bring peace, and it never will. "If I let this agreement stay, this will lead to a nuclear arms race in the entire Middle East.I declare that the US is withdrawing from a nuclear deal, "Trump said.

According to the US President, the Iranian authorities refused to review the provisions of the UWP. He also said that if the authorities change their mind, he is open to a dialogue on a new deal on new terms.

He said that the agreement not only allowed Iran to develop a nuclear program, but also to build up nuclear power. The nuclear deal should be either revised or canceled, Trump said, but no reaction ensued. He said that Western countries, with the current terms of the agreement, will not be able to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

He called Iran a sponsor of terrorism, which supported Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and also tortured its citizens. At the same time, Trump said that the US supports the people of Iran, who were "captured by an authoritarian regime."

Trump repeatedly criticized the nuclear agreement with Iran and called it "the worst US deal," and also demanded a review of the terms of the agreement.

Reaction of Iran
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in response that Iran will not withdraw from the nuclear agreement, but immediately after negotiations with European signatories, the SVPD can resume "nuclear work".

He accused the US of failing to fulfill its promises to Iran in full.

Yesterday Iranian President Hassan Rouhani threatened Washington with unprecedented consequences if the US withdraws from a nuclear deal.

"If the US withdraws from the SVPD, then soon they will regret it like never before in history," Rouhani said.

He added that the US will not be able to damage the Iranian people by withdrawing from the agreement. Earlier, the Iranian authorities repeatedly stated that if the US withdraws from the SVAP, they will renounce their obligations under the nuclear deal.

The reaction of Israel
Immediately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israeli security services had spotted the movements of the Iranian military in Syria, and Israel had brought its troops into combat readiness. He also thanked Trump for his decision.

In early May, Netanyahu told a special press conference that allegedly the Israeli special services had extracted the so-called "nuclear archive" of Iran, which says that Tehran violates the terms of the deal and continues to develop nuclear weapons.

The Israeli prime minister also said that after the signing of the UWP in 2015 Tehran allegedly hid the development archives, including the project to create the "equivalent to five Hiroshima for ballistic missile" bomb.

The reaction of European countries
In a joint statement by Britain, France and Germany, British Prime Minister Teresa Mei said that they regret Trump's decision, and called on all parties that signed the agreement to continue to implement all the provisions stipulated by the WFUN.

The reaction of Russia
The Russian side stated that it remains in the SVAP, regardless of Washington's position. First deputy head of the board committee
Federation for International Affairs Vladimir Jabarov told reporters that Russia "deeply regrets" about Trump's decision to withdraw from the deal.

What was the agreement about?
The treaty on the Iranian nuclear program was signed by the six international mediators (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) with Iran in 2015.

Then Iran agreed:

Limit uranium enrichment: uranium reserves should be reduced from 10 tons to 300 kilograms, the number of gas centrifuges for enrichment should be reduced by two-thirds.
Enrich uranium only to 3.67% for 15 years.
Rebuild the heavy reactor at Arak so that it would generate about 1 kg of plutonium per year instead of 10, as it was before.
For 15 years, do not build new factories for the production of heavy water.
To renounce nuclear weapons and under no circumstances should seek to possess any of its types.
It is unobstructed to allow IAEA inspectors to visit their facilities for 25 years.
Joint resolution of disputes at meetings of the Joint Commission, in extreme cases - in the UN Security Council.
In the event of breach of contract, be ready to resume sanctions within 30 days
In exchange, the six countries agreed:

Gradually abolish all economic and financial sanctions in connection with Iran's nuclear activities, including sanctions lists of individuals and legal entities.
Return to the Islamic Republic access to frozen assets worth more than $ 100 billion.
Allow Tehran to sell oil for export.
Allow investment in Iran
Iran's nuclear program became known in 2002, when one of the opposition groups published information about the construction of a uranium enrichment plant in Natanz and a heavy water reactor in Arak. IAEA could not confirm the peaceful nature of work in the field of uranium enrichment. After that, the West began to introduce sanctions in a phased manner against the country. In 2012, the US and the EU imposed additional sanctions against Iranian banks and state oil exporting companies. This led to a sharp deterioration in the economic situation in the country.
