888 What a Difference A Day Makes

Everything looked buoyant when I wrote about the differences between 888tron and Tronbet on Friday afternoon. In the hours following, the dividend pool went from 90 million to just over 250 million and lots of people picked up some healthy pots of TRX.

And then dumped their 888 tokens crashing the price from around 30TRX each at first to just under 20 when it recovered for a while and then tumbled again - a few minutes ago it bounced at 7.5 (!) and is now back up over 10. Man, I'm glad I couldn't afford to go in deep.

The current divpool is at 7 million TRX. About a quarter of the total supply is unfrozen and, I assume floating around on the exchanges with people waiting for the price to recover enough for them to sell without too much pain or else freezing at the last minute to get the next round of divs however meagre. There's a desire for liquid TRX though because a new casino, Trontopia is scheduled to launch sometime late on Monday night and everyone's learned that getting in early and mining (the tokens won't be on sale on a market for a while) is the best way to get a return on your "investment".

What will happen tomorrow after the next 888 div payout? How will it be affected by Tronbet's TESLA giveaway? Who knows? Who cares? This is crypto, baby!
