TSA Agent Arrested On The Job Over Child Sexual Assault Charges
A TSA agent at the Denver International Airport was recently arrested by police on 12 counts of child sex assault involving at least 3 girls.
Among those charges for the TSA agent are three counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and since his arrest the TSA has consequently fired the agent.
TSA has faced similar incidents before, with their employees getting caught stealing from luggage at the airport etc. There have been numerous reports of TSA agents wrongfully touching people, stealing from people, being rude to travelers, and being arrested on a variety of charges.
The organization has also previously failed considerably when attempting to detect undercover agents who had previously tried to smuggle in weapons past security.
The people shouldn't need to endure assault in exchange for security. And being touched inappropriately or having your private property stolen from agents can no doubt put a damper on the vacation in a short matter of time.
We've seen viral videos of young children in wheelchairs, as young as 3 years old, sobbing at the airport because of the interactions that they've had to endure with these agents. Or elderly individuals being humiliated and subjected to nonsensical, invasive screening procedures.
Is this what we want freedom to really look like?
