Photos In Bright Sunlight

Sussex Sunlight Experiment

Today we went for a drive in the countryside on the lookout for some interesting photographic subjects.

I was looking for bluebells in particular because they will be over soon but, although we found some, the photos I took were too washed out. Apart from the one below where they were part of the picture rather than the main subject.

I experimented with taking shots in and out of the shade with varying degrees of success. Here are a couple that I think worked quite well although the sky looks more washed out than it actually was. It wasn't a brilliant blue but it had a bit more colour than you can see in the images.

Maybe this is something that can only be sorted out with photo editing software.

As summer is approaching, everything just turned super beautiful and perfect for outdoor activity.

Yes. For a few days at least @explorenations. We've just had the hottest May Bank Holiday on record in East Sussex and we've still got a few more days of it apparently. I'm making the most of it while I can. Thank you for visiting.

Looks like it was a beautiful day there, too! Pretty photos!

Yes it was @melinda010100 and it's another one today too. Hopefully we'll get to some bluebells woods. It might be easier to take better pictures in the shade I'm thinking!

have a lovely day! 😁

I can't wait to see your English bluebells! They are always a favorite!

Sadly I didn't get any @melinda010100. The ones in the main garden were going to seed due to the beautiful weather we've been having.

We didn't make it to the woods as the kids got really tired walking in the heat so we had to head back for an ice cream.

I think that might be it for this year as we're away next weekend and they're already pretty much over. We missed them last year too! 😢

I really like the cemetery shot. The flowers add a nice splash of color to your shades of green and shadows. So is that a common thing in the UK to have a patch of flowers over a grave like that? Thats striking.

No it's not that common actually @steven-patrick. You often see flowers in vases or some flowers planted around the edge but not across the whole grave like that. 😊

pretty nice shots, upvoted!

Glad you liked them @amigurumi. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
