Cover Girl Dream Came True | ULOG #3

Who would have thought that a local Filipina beauty queen will be noticed by an international magazine brand?

Here's my ulog entry about how the owner of World Class Beauty Queens Magazine and Mr. United Nations USA noticed me.

I was just invited for an interview for this magazine brand. To my surprise, they chose me as the cover of their April issue. And, was featured alongside Miss Russia United Nations 2017 - Olga Makhlevskaya and Mrs Earth Australia National FInalist 2017 - Suzi Dent.

I used to be a boyish nobody, then for whatever reasons the universe changed me, and that part is a long and different story. Year 2017, I was a having a great year since my comeback in beauty pageants. One Monday morning, while I was enjoying a cup of good coffee, this stranger reached out to me through Facebook, asking if he can interview me for his magazine. Out of curiosity and the fear of being scammed, I stalked his account. Gladly, he's not one of those people who take advantage of girls with dreams like I have. I found out that he discovered me from Facebook and googled my name, there he saw my previous pageant experiences and other public exposure. So, I agreed with the interview.

Weeks after, I was losing hope that I'll ever get that beauty-queen-magazine-feature dream achieved, he messaged back with the interview questions. Finally! I'm being interviewed for an international magazine. It was a dream come true for me, to have international exposure. I poured out a hundred percent of my heart in that interview, as if I was being interviewed in a TV show. Haha :)

I understand that when I was interviewed, the brand was on its starting phase and it's still trying to get its way up, as well. But I didn't care. insert laugh To me, it was a dream come true and an amazing achievement for a lowkey pageant enthusiast like me.

July 2017, I finally received a copy of the magazine, with my face on the cover! You have no idea how happy and overwhelmed I was. And, I still am, up to this very day, I'm truly grateful for this opportunity.

So, to Mr. Derek Tokarzewski, owner of World Class Brand and Mr United Nations USA 2018, thank you so much! I'll always be your cover girl. :)
