ULOG 3: Hostel Window to the Lake Somewhere Ireland

This was a remote place @bxlphabet stayed while he was on a pilgrimage to Ireland with his church youth group. I remember seeing that they were staying in a hostel when the itinerary for the trip came out and being a bit worried about this. Seeing as I stay in hostels frequently now, my misplaced fear has me shaking my head.

@bxlphabet has a habit of taking “out the window” shots when he sees good views. I did not realize he was doing this until he started posting on steemit. I’m glad I found this one to add to the collection.

I wish I knew more about this place, but the details are lost to me now if I ever had them. I took him to the airport and picked him back up there a couple of weeks later and never heard a word about this trip until his steemit posts about it started happening.

When the pilgrimage was being planned, I stepped back from it. I decided the trip planning was a project for the kids and chaperons. My only part was being supportive and helping to raise money.

I feel the same way now. I support my son in whatever he does, even as I have no idea what that might be. August 30 was the last time I heard from him and it is not getting any easier. But seeing his photo today from long ago and far away gives me just a little bit of peace.
