#ULOG Daily Devotion (Day 2): Flourishing Faith

2 THESSALONIANS 1:1-5, NLT

[1] This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy.
We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

[2] May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

[3] Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.

[4] We proudly tell God’s other churches about your endurance and faithfulness in all the persecutions and hardships you are suffering.

[5] And God will use this persecution to show his justice and to make you worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering.

REFLECTIONS

In order for our Faith to Flourish (grow or develop in a healthy way) we need to:

1. Grow in Real Love - "...and your love for one another is growing." v.3

2. Grow in Endurance - "We proudly tell God’s other churches about your endurance..." v. 4

3. Grow in Faithfulness - "...and faithfulness in all the persecutions and hardships you are suffering." v.4

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, let my Faith in You flourish through growing in Real Love, love that You showed at the cross, love that is unconditional. Let my faith also flourish through growing in Endurance knowing that You endured the cross for me, through growing in faithfulness that no matter what may come my way I will still remain in You. I put my trust in You Oh Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
