A marijuana package weighing 29 kg was found at SC's house, a motorcycle taxi driver in Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra. He was arrested when the police carried out the case development.
"SC was arrested based on the development carried out by the police, when the search agency found nothing. However, in his house a large package of marijuana weighing 29 kilograms was found," the Director of the West Sumatra Police Narcotics Investigation, Kombul KS, said in a press conference held in Padang on Wednesday ( 8/8)
The marijuana package, said Kumbul, was hidden by SC under his bed. If converted into rupiah, the marijuana package owned by residents of Kapehpanji Jaya Talaok, Bayang District, Pesisir Selatan is worth USD 3,215,- .
To the investigator, SC claimed to pick up the illicit goods directly to Aceh.
"The marijuana was picked up in Aceh using a rental car, he claimed that the item was originally 50 kilograms, but some had been distributed, one of which was to the Jambi area," he said.
SC is suspected to be a cross-provincial airport that is a supplier of goods to small airports. "He bought marijuana directly into Aceh, then stored it first in his house before being picked up by small dealers," he said.
SC's action was uncovered when the Narcotics Police Narcotics Investigation Unit arrested suspect A in front of the Rahma Bukittinggi Maternity Clinic on Sunday (5/8) at around 16:30 WIB.
From the hands of suspect A, the police managed to secure three kilograms of marijuana.
