'Toddler Time with Aj + Celebrating Mother's Day @ Harris County Public Library' : ULOGPOST#2'

Like what I have mentioned days ago that every Tuesday the Harris County Public Library has their free scheduled learning experience for all toddlers and mothers.

BTW, this is her happy face every tuesday morning

And like what we have been hearing and seeing lately that this week's special occasion is the celebration to all 'ILAW NG TAHANAN' - OUR MOTHERS. The whole one hour and a half toddler time activity was consist of reading three books that were all about mothers, dancing and singing the monkey dance, elevator song and etc, and also making cards to all the mothers. And just like the last session, Aj enjoyed all the dancing, singing and art craft sesh.

One of the best reasons why she enjoyed the whole morning activities because her papa came along with us and gave her the support she needed.

Aside from all the simple dancing, one thing I also love about the entire program is that there is a part in the program wherein the host is about to initiate some weekly twist in their dancing and singing. The weekly host will instruct the toddlers to get some musical materials and other props in front of the host, in order to exercise their motor and mental skills, and also will able to learn when to wait for their turns and give respect to other toddlers too.

Just a few minutes before the whole activity ended, our toddler quite did well in participating that is why she looks a little bit drained out in some photos LOL. Well, this program is just what she needed to convert her energy to a much senseful way.

Making Mother's Day Card

The artsy part is the last part of the toddler time program. And because this week's theme celebration is about Mother's Day, the kids were given a task to make a Mother's Day card. After they get some plainly made mother's day card from the front table they eventually approach their guardians to help them giving art to the plain cards. There were glue and other art materials in every table already so there's no need to spend money for art materials.

In our tandem, I guided Aj to trace her little fingers, assisted her in pasting the cute cutout materials and taught her how to write her message for each Mother's Day card.

Aj made three mother's day cards; one for her momsie ( my mom-in-law), one for her mommyla (my mom) and one for her tita Miles (my sis-in-law).

Because her mommyla is working in UAE, we decided to take some pictures of her together with the card and we then send the pictures to her mommyla via facebook messenger

Celebrating Mother's Day doesn't mean we need to buy expensive gifts and greeting cards, because as a mother, a sweet kiss, hug and handly made cards are enough to be happy and be blessed this Mother's Day.

The precious gifts out there are not those pricely made by others but instead the precious gifts are handly made and heartily made by our loved ones
