ULog #6: AMAZING GRACE!
While I was studying last night, I was touched yet again by a song entitled, Broken Vessels. It had sudden impact in me - the music itself, and most especially, the powerful message of the song, which describes my life and of my identity as a person, before and after I have found peace through Christ.
I was lost...
I've been so selfish throughout my teenage years until year 2014. I didn't care at all if I'd go home late and if my siblings' school classes would get compromised since I knew they were always there to help and support me in taking care of my eldest daughter when I wasn't around. Moreover, I didn't mind if my sister @evlachsblog would be highly upset of me.
My reason for coming home late had always been anything related to my hospital duties or my other school activites. But the truth is, either I was hanging out with my friends or I was going out with my boyfriend at that time.My father raised me and my siblings in a Christian home, a prayerful home, where we would have a Bible study whenever my Dad had time or if he had no work, before everyone of us were about to sleep. In spite of growing up in a Christian family, it seemed like it didn't matter to me at all. I jumped from one relationship to another, I would always come home drunk (although never did my siblings knew about it, I handled myself like I was in a normal state), and I also learned how to smoke.
If I'd capture how my life was during those dark moments, it would be nothing but all blurry and pure black & white...nothing had ever seemed colorful. It made even worse when I had a relationship with a "family man", which resulted to a broken relationship with my family.
I was writing this #ULog while taking care of my youngest daughter:

Going back, my life had suddenly flipped over with great series turn of events after a while since I lost my father in 2001. Being with him was the last thing I remember I could picture my life that was colorful. So in 2014, this was the year God had saved me from drowning - from losing hope if I could still be able to live my life with real joy.....and from being lost in the dark.
I'm saved by God's grace - His favor that I didn't deserve.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
I'm still overwhelmed how quickly God has changed and transformed my life as I wake up each day. The song below that I listened to last night has reminded me again how amazing our God is, so I pray when you hear this song, it will also touch your heart:

MY REALIZATION IN LIFE
Everyone of us will be reached out by God. It may be a different way to you or to someone else's, depending on how you grasp it at first hand. It also depends whether you ignore it or not, or if you are blinded by the earthly things and the norms around us..
I could not prove anything to anyone, if you really want me to give you pieces of evidence that God does exist, but I will neither debate nor argue with you over this topic. With people I personally know that their lives have been completely changed and transformed, and the people I know (my father included), despite how huge their adversities were, but still their faith in God was intact and indestructible, I can tell God is alive within their heart. However, what Pastor Peter Tan Chi discussed HERE ON THIS VIDEO are some key points that are great to ponder.
Christians can never be perfect but once you are living and protected by the Triangle of God's Blessings, your "old sin" can no longer have control or power over you to become a slave again by anything that could hinder you from worshiping God.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

The drowning aspect is interesting, since I drowned and came back myself. Also, your love for God is very much understood. Of course, I have this intense love for Him myself, so it goes without saying that I would love someone who loves Him so much too. :)
Did I tell you I"m an ordained minister? I taught the bible for over 15 years and did missionary work. I'm not sure why I chose to tell you that right now, but it seemed appropriate. Blessings, Eagle

You know, there were times I'm unsure to open up how I feel about God, but I would realize, I will just do my part and I'd let Him do the rest. It's my job after all to obey His greatest commandment - that is to spread His Word and make disciples. With this own little way of mine, who knows, some might be touched with the things I've shared.
And God always reminds me that if you really love Him, there's no shame anymore in spreading His love for everyone. :)

The drowning aspect was when I was overly attached to my relationships in the past. I was a bad mother back then.
i see, and i cannot and would never believe that about you. you are the sweetest thing and never lose that. we can lose it, but i'm sure you never will. i understand about overly attached, my mom was like that. i'm so happy you have grown and moved past that. blessings.
Hehe that's the truth. I was immature, I was seeking attention and love from other people, from a boyfriend. But they all failed me. It's been a repeat cycle..I didnt know myself anymore. All those years I never felt real happiness, it always felt like there's something missing..until I have finally found real joy in the presence of God. Somebody might not or will never understand it unless they'll have a personal encounter with Him.

After I received Jesus, countless blessings keep pouring in my life..you know, the things that unseen but gives you direction and sense of purpose.
heck yes i know! if you ask me my experiences you may not believe them they are that intense and spiritual. if you have seen jesus or God Almighty i would never doubt your word.
Wow! His grace is indeed amazing and so sweet.
His grace brought me back after i derailed from him last year.
Was supposed to graduate last year from the university but had some challenges which made me fail and was unable to graduate with other mates.
I got frustrated and went into sin of masturbation and pornography which lasted so long but His grace found me and has being finding me ever since then.
And thanks to God, in about four months time I will be a graduate.
We will never be slave again by the sin we were always doing in the past as we are protected by the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Nice message. I always love to hear that song by John Newton. It says a wretch like me. That's a true saying about me before I was saved. But grace found me and brought me into God's light.
Thanks for sharing the grace of God in your life, @gadol. It's such an amazing experience when we're loving God because even if we're in the midst of problems, we still feel His presence and we'll have an assurance that we're gonna be fine.:)

We all need to depend on his Grace in many areas of our lives indeed. My pastor shared before that even though a butterfly happens to land on a rubbish bin. It may get dirty actually but the fact that it is still a butterfly that can fly away. Nothing can take away us from God even when we drift away from him, he has his holy spirit within us since it was said that we are the temple of the holy spirit. May Grace be abundant in your life.
That's sooo true. Holy Spirit protects us from doing the same mistakes again, however, temptations are always just around the corner but they are not strong anymore and no power to control us. Thanks for stopping by and for that wonderful message. God bless you.

Sobrang happy ako for you, @dynamicshine. Ang laki ng pagbabago sa buhay mo and iyon lang naman talaga ang gusto ko para sa'yo at sa anak mo, isa pa lang noon, ung panganay mo pa lang. Kung ano lang makakabuti para sa'yo. Iyon lang ang hangad ko at panalangin ko para sa ating magkakapatid. Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat.
Talagang walang imposible kay Lord. Kung hindi dahil sa Kanya, siguro talagang nasa maling landas tayo. Pero malaki ang pasasalamat ko kay Lord kasi binigyan Niya tayo ng ama na nagsakripisyo nang sobra para sa ating lahat. Inakay niya rin tayo sa paniniwala at pananampalataya sa Panginoong Hesus. Kung hindi dahil sa kanya at sa paraan ng pagpapalaki niya, marahil, wala tayong mararating sa mga buhay natin.
Tama ka sa sinabi mo:
Maraming paraan kung paano tayo tatawagin ni Lord. Kinakatok Niya ang mga puso natin, at hinihintay lang Niya na papasukin natin Siya at hayaang maghari sa buhay natin. Nasa atin na lang kung gugustuhin na mabuhay nang mayroong Diyos or walang Diyos.
Napakamahalagang bagay na matutunan natin habang nandito pa tayo sa mundo ang makilala natin at tanggapin natin na ang kaligtasan natin ay na kay Hesus. Siya lang ang ating Panginoon at Tagapagligtas.
