Ulog#11 - Our First Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session Of The School Year
Hello fellow educators of DepEd, mabuhay to all Steemians.
Today is Friday and the last day of classes for this week. Our master teacher in Technology and Livelihood Education requested us to have a LAC session an hour before our knock-off time at 3 P.M.
LAC session is held usually when there are new issues, strategies, implementations, revision of procedures, problems to resolved or any other related concerns with the main goal for a maximum transfer of learning to our students.
This first session is mainly for the introduction of the the new Lesson Plan format. The sample lesson plan was authored by DepEd Region 7 supervisor *Emiliano B. Elnar Jr. and was the chosen lesson plan nationwide during the submission of all the author representives in all DepEd regional office. Region 7 teachers became the pilot in the implementation of this new lesson plan introduced.
And guess what, we were all amazed while our master teacher went to his discussion. Our standard objectives for only 3 statements will be added the fourth following the sequence of KSAV which stands for,
Knowledge
Skills
Attitude
Values
This means that we have to make 4 objectives using appropriate verbs in every learning domain required.
Another difference which made us feel the burden is the construction of procedures that must follow the 5A's which also means,
Awareness
Activity
Analysis
Abstraction
Application
This also means that we need to construct statements in every A required. Thinking it deeply that most of us have 3 preparations so we need to create 12 statements for the objectives and more than 15 statements for the procedures daily.
Considering our time that might be devoted only in the making of lesson plans to be the priority and lesser time in the making of visual aids and planning for best activities so that students will not be bored with the lessons.
Alas! We just motivate ourselves that we can have the power of Darna to comply all the things instructed to us. Our coteacher bought us free snacks to make us alive again, so we just felt the burden lighter through eating and thinking that it's already weekend, a time to clear our minds from school hassles.
With optimism, we have to accept the challenge, God bless to all educators, help us to persevere in all endeavors of the school year.
