Ulog 7 - The Italian Forum

Last night we went to The Italian Forum in Balmain. Came here with two of my friends and have some Italian.

Once you enter an alleyway aligned with Italian restaurants and shops, you will magically be transported to Italy. The Italian Forum is considered to be the Italy of Sydney.

But before we get there, saw some little thugs hanging around with their bikes. Captured one's face but it was a bit blurry.

The architecture and colors of this place just gives you the ambiance of the Italian culture. It really does feel like little Italy. Even the stairs looks Italian.

We looked around and there are lots of cafes, boutiques, restaurants. Sat in one of the restaurants and ordered some pasta of course. The carbonara sauce was thick and creamy whilst the pasta was perfectly al dente. It was match made in heaven.

To end the night, I just had to take a photo of this statue. I don't know what it is or what it represents. Couldn't even be bothered to read the plaque. Have a great night everyone or day, wherever you are. Ciao!

Ahhh carbonara is one if my favourites, might have to get some made for me soon XD when we're not sure as one child refuses to eat it -_-

goatsig

Good food does it.

I know Dante Alighieri is a famous Italian poet and his most famous work was the Divine Comedy which is a three part narrative of Dante's travel from Hell (Inferno) , Purgatorio , Heaven (Paradiso). Although I haven't read all three and just the parts of it. I can say that it was a good book but given it was in the Italian Language accurate English Translations of the book have several versions which in turn have different translations.

Ahh great info. Cheers
