Iqama is Everything

Here in KSA, all expat must be registered to Ministry of Interior and acquire IQAMA or Residence ID. Without this, you are considered as an illegal worker or immigrant of KSA. No need to worry about how we are able to acquire IQAMA coz’ it’s sponsor/employer’s duty to get their people registered.

IQAMA or RESIDENCE ID is not just something but it is everything here in Saudi Arabia.

Iqama makes the expats of Saudi Arabia safe and convenient. Why it’s safe? Because if you are caught by the police officer during their random checkpoints you will be jailed for being an anonymous expat, so be a law abiding expat :). Also in buying sim cards for your mobile you must present your IQAMA ID plus finger print and you will be tracked by the ministry of interior or Saudi government so don't be so crazy in doing things against Saudi law. Just be good so everything will be fine awesome. Convenient? yeah! in opening bank account only iqama is needed you dont need to present all valid IDs you have in your pocket, hospital transactions, booking tickets, visa processing and more you just have to present your iqama. It is stated who's your sponsor/employer and what job category/level do you belong.

Updated My Bank Details

So today I just updated my Bank details with regards to my iqama's expiry date. Since it's working hour, I asked permission to our manager for 30mins-1hour excuse. At 3:00PM I and sir @long888 left from the office to NCB(bank), thanks to our generous colleague Marlon for a free ride since he has his own car.

As we arrived at the NCB office, we're just lucky only three men were ahead of us. I'm afraid coz it was already 3:30 and they will be closed at 4:00. I was also lucky that sir @long888 was there with me coz' if I was alone tsk tsk tsk I dont know that thing there in the entrance that gives the customer a priority number in just 2 taps.

Finally updated and I also got my 4 digits secret number for online banking transaction.

Food Hunting

We were done and out for food hunting since my boss sir @long88 was so hungry waiting for almost 48 years woops that was only 30minutes lol.

He was looking for the restaurant that offers Filipino food called Pancit but he doesn't know what was the name of that restaurant so we were like hunting a deer in a chicken cage lol. We checked the subways menu I really thought subway is only an underground railway tsk tsk I'm sorry am just a poor man son living in the mountain.

Pancit to Shawarma

After hunting the pancit in the middle of nowhere, we ended up looking a taxi so we can go back to our duty. When we were in taxi going to office sir long instructed the driver to bring us in the food shop near our office so we found this and he just bought shawarma since pancit wass too wild at that time lol.

Meeting New Friend

I also met a new friend along the way when we were walking from the shawarma shop to our office.
