Ulog #7: School Gulayan Harvest
Today marks the harvest time of chinese kangkong that has been planted by the students a month ago. The school, together with the TLE teachers lead by Ma'am Riza works with much effort to start this program to feed the underweight students.
Aside from chinese kangkong, we also have the ampalaya, sibuyas, kamote, alugbati, monggos, sitaw, tanglad and many others.

As we can see, we used plastics from bottle water and tires for the plants to help minimize trash thrown to the environment. Before school year of 2018, the school encouraged learners and teachers to bring these plastics from home for this gulayan purpose.
Kids are very hard workers for the success of this movement which them can benefit. All the fruits and harvest will be cook and serve to them during lunch time.

Woow!!! That is a nice projec.. Here in the school where I teach, we don't have like that.. But yeah, that is a very good idea. Vegetables are really what students need these days in the world full of junk foods and processed foods. :D Congratulations to your harvest by the way :) :)
