Ulog No 35: Another great time at WVED Cameroon

It was another wonderful week at World Vision for Education and Development (WVED) Cameroon. This week, we had our 8 PeaceClubs running across 4 different schools in Bamenda for in-school and out of school. It was another powerful session with the induction of a new program into our curriculum which advocates against Child Abuse. The children were educated on Peace and Child abuse.

It was also the World AIDS Day on the 01st of december so we also had activities to commemorate that. There was a presentation by one of the LitClub facilitators, Facilitator Raissa who explained the significance of the day to the children. We ended the session by pinning up our red ribbons on our shirts to show our support for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

For the PeaceClub activity of the week, we had the children come up with words that intrigued them about peace. They were then asked to decorate and beautify their words which they all did awesomely. They then pasted the words together to form a wall of peace. It was a great moment of laughs, fun and interaction as they did it.

We ended the day on a very beautiful note with dancing, eating and singing as usual. I really had a great time and it was really beautiful seeing the atmosphere filled with joy and happiness on the faces of the kids. It was really beautiful and you will look back at such moments in the future and they will bring a big smile on your face. I am happy to be part of this wonderful community WVED Cameroon that is doing a lot to empower kids and young people. It has helped so many people already and continues to do so.

@hermannsol, Great to know about this Community and yes, reflecting as effective initiatives are going on. And for sure children should get the proper education because in that way they can attain true knowledge and we know that knowledge can set us free. So keep up and keep spreading this Hand Of Knowledge.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂
