Old Fashioned Way of Love

In this world of ours where technology reigns supreme and is still exponentially growing, it is frightening that we are beginning to forget how to love the ‘Old-Fashioned Way’.

Have you ever thought of your grandparents or some old folks out there who have been in love or are still in love with their partners? They didn’t have any technological advancement like text, emails, phone calls, or video calls.

These kind of things are the things that we are enjoying today - but they made it work. Most of them made us believe that love perseveres thru time, that love is almost eternal, that somehow there is forever.

It’s not easy for them I bet, but they made it work. I think the secret for them to make it work is because of the physical quality time that they spend with each other. I mean, there’s no other way for them to make it work but spend time with their lover, right?

So maybe, just maybe, this is a lesson for us from the past. We need to make some good old quality time with our partner - no phones, no calls, no other things to sway our attention. Do it the old fashioned way, it works, the old folks made it work, we must learn from them.
