We finally had our match for Futsal the other day. It was a very invigorating experience. Our team has only 7 players which is only enough for one set of the game and we do not have extra players for substitute, so it was really a challenge for all of us.

Last Saturday our Futsal Match was held on USP campus. We played against six opponents, so basically we have to survive until the last opponents. We were thinking how are we going to keep our stamina for six matches. This is the elimination round and if we cannot win we will eventually lose the final match.

Other team has almost 20 players which means that they are more advantage than our team since they do have extra players who can easily swap with each other as they play the game. But for us we have to be in the court the whole gameplay which is pretty much tiring.

Yes we do had our practice and preparation but we are outnumbered. We played our best and at all cost we tried much more than we thought of ourselves that we can do it but at the end of the day the winner brings home the prize the losers go home with despair.

Unfortunately the luck wasn’t on our side and we accepted our fate. WE LOSE THE GAME! :( It was a sad reality but that’s how it goes. Yes, We played harder than we have played before, we have drained all our energy inside the court but no matter how hard we push ourselves to win the game the reality prevails that we are not yet enough to get on to the winning stage.

Despite the fact that we lose the game, we have enjoyed ourselves in every match and we gain friendship with other players which is one of a good spirit of sportsmanship. We had no regrets of losing the game because we all knew that we have performed all the best that we had during the match. On the other side it was a very good learning moment to us that indeed we still need more time for practice and develop more strategy for next years game once again.

Even though we lose the game, our team remains joyful and I did not see any down-shoulders among us. Our team manager still gives us surprises. We are losers but still we celebrate more than winners.

We had our moments together over the table of overflowing big slices of delicious pizza and bottomless drinks. We had our good time together, sharing our experiences on the game and laughing with each other of how much we enjoyed the game even though we did not win the game.!
