Ulog #041 : Living in a box out of the streets in London
I can still see him as he was brought in, having a heart attack. Unkempt and unshaven, with that smell that you get from living in the streets, so very thin for his frame. With his eyes so desolate, i felt ashamed for having a government who have neglected him. He did served his country, for whatever reason he became a soldier. How many wars did he go to?
Preparing him for his angioplasty, all of his clothes were put in a bag, including his shoes where all went in the washing machine near the nurses' changing room after our shift.
From the paramedics, he was taken from the streets, living in a box. In the middle of winter.
Writing the #freedomfriday post made me remember him, listening to Pink's Dear Mr. President song. I often wondered if the soldiers who have gone to wars in the Middle East ever thought that it was worth going? Although some seem to be enjoying themselves shooting everyone that moves.
Video games
I have seen the same video that @bifilarcoil posted or was it @palikari23? Zombies shooting real people inside their tank. LAUGHING as they did so. Soldiers playing video games?
That's what i thought anyway.
Surely a lot of soldiers, who against their wishes were exposed to these gory situations became like our man, in UK, in the US and other countries who joined the circus. PTSD? Psychologically unstable, unable to have a job, be with their family and worst. Some, because there are ex-soldiers who have struggled and maintained their sanity.
But some are living in a box out in the streets, year after year.
Regrets, do they feel that? And our government, they have forgotten them, haven't they? What was that they were fighting for? How many did they kill for that reason? Oh let me rephrase that. How many were massacred in the name of FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY?
How could you sleep at night Mr. President?

Milder if it's just a bump in the head...psychological trauma is lifetime.
Governments abuse their citizens in so many ways. First they make people poor, the poorest people then can choose to go into the army or to become homeless. The ones who choose to be homeless made the better choice. As the ones who became soldiers, risk their lives for the profit of the arms industry.
And IF they manage to come back alive... well then they are a burden to society.
No company want's a messed up mind that only costs money. So then the soldier still ends up being homeless. Now with the extra burden of a trauma on top.
The ones who said NO to war at least live and don't have a war trauma to cope with.
Being homeless sucks, and homelessness is a result of politics. And they are not doing anything to prevent it. Not even in the wonderful country that i live in. It's all a big charade to make it look as if they care.
Hypocrites is what they are.
Arms, oil, gold, power, and more.
Being in the army was made to look prestigeous you know...who don't wanna be like top gun?
Not a lot can see that. Even the people love the monarchy that keeps them poor.
Yes... over here we still have 'Queens day' (now Kings day) and the sheeple LOVE to go all happy about it as it is a kind of national 'holiday' where everyone is getting drunk.
Just as the events that @palikari123 described in one of his latest articles.
It is a n annual event packed with subliminal propaganda.

Those subliminal stuff are depressing..but i know very little. But i might be tempted to have a look.
subliminals are everywhere. watch a hollywood movie and you got bombarded with hundreds of subliminal messages

I saw one..if he represents all, then it really sucks everywhere. Wars still ongoing.
Oh did you see that video where kids receiving vaccines were made to wear VRs...saw it in facebook.
What you saw with that one guy, is probably how it is on average. Which is obviously bad news.
No I haven't seen that video, but I'm not at all surprised. Plus I don't have a facebook lol. I have actually slowed down a lot on reading news lately. Need a break from the negativity...blahhh

Makes me mad seeing people homeless and hungry, shouldn't be happening. So many food banks and so many families suffering. Sad times :(
So much tax we are paying Karen, where are they utilised? The poor elderly in UK will rather pay for gas than buy food with their pension money. As a nurse, i have seen a lot.
We shouldn't be seeing this from an industrialised country...with monarchy.
it's the monarchy that is doing all of this, all the money ends up in the pockets of the elite
