ULOG DAY3... DAY AT THE LANGUAGE LAB... A LINGUIST'S CALL

A day without an aim, without knowledge learnt, without knowledge passed on is wasted!
Today much knowledge on Practical phonetics was passed into this small brain of mine.

When I try to tell them that linguistics is more of science than art, they end up saying it doesn't make any meaning.
What on earth studies sound waves?
What on earth studies frequencies?
What on earth studies how sounds are transmitted from the articulatory features through the acoustic properties to the auditory perspectives?

Did you know that all languages have similar sound characteristics?
Where one influences another to form another in a language also occurs in another language?
The acoustic and auditory properties of sounds are very interesting topics to pick interest.

Sooner or let me say a topic for another day, I will elaborately talk on some special linguistics topics.

    Linguistics is a course to unravel because people barely or rarely understand it's ethics and mission.
