PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) - a subsidiary of the Astra Group - helped victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Donggala and Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. The construction machinery company sent heavy equipment such as bulldozers to search for earthquake victims there.
"The need for heavy equipment is very urgent in handling the earthquake and tsunami disasters in Palu and Donggala. So we are moving quickly to deploy heavy equipment as well as distributing aid to disaster victims," said United Tractors Communication Division Head Sara Loebis in an official statement received.

The company began the evacuation phase by bringing in a number of heavy equipment in the form of 4 units of excavators, 1 unit of bulldozers and 1 unit of lowboys operating in Balaroa Village, Palu, Central Sulawesi.
The presence of this heavy equipment is used to help clean up debris, open road access while searching for victims who are still buried in the rubble.
"In addition to heavy equipment, through the Humanitarian Command Post in Palu, we also mobilized a number of volunteers, medical personnel, medical assistance, generators and a number of basic needs," he explained.
He assured, the company will continue to coordinate related assistance needs for victims in the future. Including if necessary the addition of other heavy equipment.
"Yes, we will continue to help this effort to keep up with the developments in the field conditions in Palu and Donggala," he said.
