#Ulog Day 35(Aug.5, 2018)=My simple viand sardines with Malunggay

in #ulog6 years ago (edited)

In Philippines, if you eat this kind of viand, you are considered poor(filipino mentality). They don't know that this is nutritious and very cheap. Sardines are packed with omega 3 which is good for our heart and has natural source of Vitamin D that is often called as the " Sunshine Vitamin". This vitamin is important because our system can't absorb calcium without this. While malunggay or moringa are good for lactating moms because it can helps boost their milk that is very healthy for new born babies.
Last 2014, Malunggay was declared as national vegetable because of it's medicinal benefits and at the same time a nutritious food not just in our country but all around the world. Every part of malunggay like roots, bark, leaves, flower and seeds is usable for nutritional or medicinal purposes.

The procedure is very simple:

  1. First slice the onion, garlic and tomato
  2. Then select the good leaves of malunggay
  3. Boil 2-3 cups of water
  4. If the water is boiling, put the condiments
  5. After 5 minutes, put the malunggay leaves
  6. 5 minutes later, ready to serve.
