#Ulog 009: DIY Hair Color

in #ulog6 years ago (edited)

Hey steemians, this is my 9th participation of the trending hashtag in steemit community initiated by @surpassinggoogle the man behind the success stories and the life-changing of the individual. Hands up to Sir Terry for making things possible.

My blog for the day is all about pampering yourself not in the salon or spa but at home using your own things and do it yourself technique. Yes, you heard it right. Most of the time, I did my hair color at home, but it is risky. But I will not recommend this to everyone.

Lately, the top of my hair already turning to black while the middle and the tip are in the same color. So, I decided to color again my hair doing at home.

Step by Step Procedure:

Step 1: Choose the original brand for the hair color. There are numerous brand names that can be bought in the malls. Make sure to check the expiry date which is indicated on the lower portion of the box.
I am using this brand Hanzhixiu hair color/dye in Copper Blonde which the same color I used before. This brand is made from Korea.

Step 2: Prepare the things you need for Do it Yourself hair dyeing. Some of the products, the hair color brush and a pair of rubber gloves included already. With this product, there are two tubes inside the box. I provided the hair coloring brush and instead of a bowl, I found some empty can at home.
And one more thing, prepare hair conditioner of your choice.

Note: the strong smell of chemicals will hurt your nose and eyes.

Step 3: Open the box and pour the two tubes on the mixing can or put an ample amount of conditioner on the mixture to lessen the strong sting of chemicals.

**Step 4: **Don't forget to use the gloves if you don't want the stain on your hands on the next day. Part your hair into sections and start brushing the mixture from the top of the hair until to the tip. Stay away from the scalp as much as possible. If anything hurts while the dye is setting down to your roots, wash hair immediately. Wait for 30-45 minutes with occasional air massage evenly distribute color.

Step 5: after waiting, wash and shampoo your hair thoroughly making sure there are no residues left on your scalp. Apply and leave conditioner for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly again.

The result is...

Taken this morning.

Conclusion: I am satisfied with the result of the DIY hair dying at home. The color goes well with my skin and it meet my expectation. There was no stain left on my hand. It is much cheaper compared to the salon. But I would not recommend this doing at home. It is only that I am being accustomed doing this alone.

However, here are the disadvantages and the risks.

  • Your trusted hairstylist would not recommend this products. The brand is made from China or Korea.
So better to use from the trusted brand.
  • The hair color won't work if your hair is Jet black. Color it first to a lighter shade and then put this
color on the top of that hair for visible results.
  • If you do it at home, there are possibilities you can stain it on your shirt or any fabric around the area.
While in the salon, everything is set for safety.
  • In a salon you can sit in a convenient way.
