Welcome to Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte, Philippines! One of the best places to visit in Kauswagan is its famous boardwalk which is considered to be the longest in the region. I've always wanted to visit Kauswagan but I didn't have the time and also the company who'd want to go with me. Then my cousin Bethel woke me up early in the morning and told me that we (cousins) would be going to the famous longest boardwalk in Kauswagan.

It was a 23-kilometer long road trip. From Iligan City, it took us about 40 minutes to reach the beautiful municipality of Kauswagan. We've had fun conversations. And of course, it goes without saying that music entertained us on our road trip.

After the 40-minute long road trip, we finally reached the longest boardwalk in Kauswagan. The place was quiet, it was only the six of us who were the "tourists" there. Perhaps, it was because we were there at one o'clock in the afternoon. People mostly come when its an hour before sunset. Sad to say, we didn't wait for the sun to set because we haven't had lunch and all of us were really hungry. All the stores on the boardwalk were closed, again maybe because we were there so early LOL, I think they only open at three or four in the afternoon. We only stayed there for 45 minutes. It was a short visit, after all.

So here are some of the photos I took- the view, the company, and the moments.

In a peaceful place like this, you just can't resist to take photos of it.

The first thing that I noticed was the cleanliness of the boardwalk. There were I think three garbage bins for every 60-70 meters along the boardwalk. I forgot to take pictures of the garbage bins, sorry.

I'm glad that there were lots of signage saying "no throwing of garbage" along the boardwalk. Cleanliness is really a priority not just in tourist spots. It must be a priority everywhere.

I'm also at peace knowing that the place is smoke-free. By the way, taking a photo with a "no smoking" signage was unintentional LOL.

The view is exquisite. Standing along the boardwalk, you can see a memorable view of the sea as it displays its calmness.

These are my cousins and the one wearing a dark blue shirt is my brother. As you can see on our pictures, our hair are all messy because the winds were really strong.

Honestly, I was glad we were the only ones there LOL. No one could photobomb a picture-perfect view such as this one.

The heat and the throbbing sensation on our soles were worth it. The next time I visit here, it'll be just right before the sun set. See ya again, Kauswagan.

All the photos are mine and I used my Oppo A37 in taking these pictures. We had a lot of fun today! I hope you had a good day too. That would be all my fellow steemians! Keep on steeming. Keep ulogging!
