The Flower Cafe

It's time to feature another cafe here in my city, where the pines and other trees give cool breeze and the mountain ranges of the Cordilleras give you the healing you need.

Let us visit The Flower Cafe. Here's a short video of our visit.

The Flower Cafe is located at Villa Romana at 307 Ambuklao Road, Tiptop, Baguio City. Villa Romana is one of the bed and breakfast establishments here in the city. As if the flowers are not enough decorations to make you say wow, it is perfectly situated where the view is stunning! Nature lover or not, you will still appreciate the breathtaking view.

The view is one of the things I appreciated about this cafe. One can be there all day sitting and admiring it.

There is also a stage and I am guessing they probable set it up for singers or a band. No one was playing or singing that time unfortunately.

Flowers of different colors are bountiful and they justify the name of the cafe. Don't be discouraged if they are fake for that will be negligible as it is still an instagramable place to spend your time with your friends and family or just a simple me time. It is located away from the chaos of the city which makes it more suitable for a place to relax. If your loved ones wanted space, recommend this place :D

This is no doubt one of the places you should add to your list when visiting Baguio City. Baguio is just a small place and it will only take you a day or two to visit the tourist spots. It is therefore a great idea to visit the outskirts of the city to check out new places such as The Flower Cafe. Better yet stay in one of their rooms.

It was an afterthought when we decided to visit this cafe. It was my first time and one cannot help to be impressed by the effort they did to make it such a wonderful cafe. We have already had our fill and it was a big lunch meal at that so we were only here for their tea.

We were warmly greeted and fully entertained when we arrived. That was one of the plus points this cafe earned from me. They make you instantly feel at home which is important. It is really needed to provide quality customer service. They offer myriad of flowers to choose from that they will mix for you. Certain measurements are required for every flower you want to mix so as not to overpower each flavor.

For this first visit, we tried a concoction of snow chrysanthemum, lavender and jasmine. Note that the sweetener used was stevia so it is all organic and natural. Once you taste the tea, it will make you question again whether sugar or any kind of sweeter was added or not. The flowers are then placed in tea brewing machine for five minutes. I was fascinated how that machine works. It makes me appreciate how people can come up with such bright ideas.

I was satisfied with the concoction we chose and it was mixed well. The flavor of jasmine and aroma of lavender are infused perfectly. The chrysanthemum was kind of lost in the combination or probably I was more inclined towards the other two flowers that I did not notice the chrysanthemum.

If I remember correctly, there were around 40 or more flowers that you can choose from. That's a lot! It is overwhelming to be given a list of so many things that you don't know what to choose. We therefore opted for what we are familiar with thus coming up with the mentioned mix above.

We were also served one of their own house blends but I forgot what blend it was. It is close to the flavors we chose. The lady who served us said that they do serve their own blends so customers can differentiate which is better.

One brew can serve two people. You can brew your mix again and again until the water turns clear. For us, we only brewed it two times. Even when brewed the second time around, it still retained its flavors and also the sweetness. Well, it may have lost some but it is hard to tell.

Aside from tea, the cafe also serves meals and cakes. Since we have already had lunch, we decided to try one of their cakes.

Once again, the cake itself is not that sweet. What actually made it sweet are the chocolate syrup and fruits they used to garnish the cake. Rose petals were used to decorate the cake. It was well presented, colorful and picture perfect.

Our desires were satisfied! All your senses will be filled when you go to The Flower Cafe.

The easiest way to get to this place is by taxi if you want to commute if the traffic is not that bad. Tell the driver to drop you off Villa Romana or The Flower Cafe right before Arcas Yard (another awesome place to visit). It is important to mention that because some drivers are not familiar with this yet.

Another option is to take a jeepney plying Tiptop-Baguio and vice versa located beside at Metrobank Magsaysay near BPI Malcolm Square.

Do not forgot to bring your fully charged phones and cameras when you visit this place. You will not regret it. One will compelled to take photos once you are in this place.

From this experience alone, I rate this as 5/5. I still have to try their meals.
