Ulog #12: Stormy and flooded Saturday
The wind has been literally whistling and whirling in the last two nights. It still is. And I woke up this morning to this sight. It wasn't like this yesterday.
These are at the 1 to 2 o'clock side of our house. The good thing is, there is a covered canal in front of our house that is the main pathway and serves as barrier to keep the water from coming to our side.
It has been raining straight for few days but intensity is stronger today. Even the wind is stronger which is an irony because typhoon #KardingPH is already out of the country. This has been the cases for many times after a typhoon strikes. It is the tail end monsoon rain that is stronger than when the typhoon is hitting.
The latest forecast in this Northern Luzon area is that rains will be experienced and wind will be from moderate to strong in the next 24 hours due to Southwest Monsoon. May that flood just few meters away not level up as we sleep tonight.
I am out of Metro Manila since Monday and this is the update I got from our The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. Rainfall is at red alert level for that area. I also see updates on Facebook that evacuation is initiated in few areas. It was only few weeks ago when floods have subsided and here we go again.
May this Southwest Monsoon pass very quickly.

Hope that everything will be all right 😯 flood and typhoon seems like as part of life in your country, isn't it? I remember one big disasters couple tears ago that stricken Manila dan Luzon Island. Is your family in a safe place @macoolette?
As a contrary from this post, we face a bad drought seasons here in my place. Since living in Pamulang, today is the first time in my life.. when I turn on the water jet pump.. nothing flow from the water faucet😢
Well, floods and typhoons are common in a tropical country like Philippines so yes, it is part of our life during the rainy season. The flood somehow subsided on the following day so there was not much to worry. Thanks for checking our condition. 😊
We also experience lack of water supply during the summer. There were cases when we do not have water supply for almost four days. I think it is also part of being in tropical country like ours. Gotta live with it. 😊

Thanks @rezoanulvibes. The flood somehow subsided on the following day. I left that area two days ago. I got news from my relatives that rain is still pouring but somehow not as strong as before. They are doing good there now. 😊
