#ulog Post: What If There Is No Steemit it?

Recently I was in asteemit group chat and had a convo with a fellow steemian. The convo went on and on and we shared our steemit experiences and journies so far.

As the convo was going on, this buddy of mine was really complaining of how low his earning was. He was complaining of he would put many hours to write a good post and at the end of the day, no one would read it and worst still, no one would upvote it.

I understood his concerns. You know the feeling when after writing a good post and no one even read talk less of upvoting it. Haha.

But then again I asked him few questions which he couldn’t answer. I asked him: what if there is no steemit? Have you not been surviving before the advent of steemit?

Well, he answered those questions and I went further to question him: how long have you been using facebook and how much have you made on facebook so far?. He responded that he has made noting ever since he joined facebook. So I told him again: why the complaint that your posts don’t earn?

Most of us who use facebook will attest that they have not made a single cent from facebook. Instead they spend more on data and pay more on WiFi etc. but here on steemit, it might seem small but the lil cents made will go a long way.

For instance, a posts payout is 0.50 steem backed dollar. This 0.5sbd multiplied by the current value of SBD in USD would equal to 1. USD.

Remember, that every reward or upvote you might get in steemit, somehow is free, even though you have put in some time or effort to write a post. Its still free money.

So why worry so much if your post is not being recognized or upvoted ? Why stress yourself if your posts are not trending even though you might put in your best to write it?

For success to be achieved, hard work must be directly proportional to the success you want.

My little advice on minnows like me whose earning are just cents. Don’t give up. Steem for the fun of it and enjoy the community. Make amazing friends and at the same time, be persistent and committed to your blog posts.

Nothing good comes easy. Slow and steady, we all will get there and become whales.
