Hope he gets enough of whatever he is digging for.
My previous dog was so attuned to the squirrels he would see movement in the tree tops. We only had to say the "squ" of squirrel and he would be on point. My current dog can't be bothered.
The b-dog thinks he has to protect all of our property and barks at anything that moves. Being in the city is it a bit annoying when he barks or growls at people walking by out front of the house. When the better-half takes him for a walk his head is on a swivel and she says that he always remembers where he last saw a squirrel or rabbit.

Aaaww bless your heart for giving him time to gather his food. They are such cute creatures. We saw some in Andaman island that looked totally different from the squirrels we're used to in SA.
