Ulog- Cooking Adobong Manok sa Mantika

Our food for tonight is my first and favorite dish that i cooked!!!! Its adobong manok sa mantika...

What is Mantika? It is a tagalog word for oil. There are two kinds of adobo here in the Philippines, one is dried with oil and the other one has more broth in soy sauce. For the two i preferred dried with oil.

For the Recipe:

1 kilo Chicken (any parts)
2 cloves garlic
1 onion
Olive oil
3 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of vinegar
Pepper corn
Laurel leaves
Salt
1 tablespoon Sugar
2 sachets Oyster sauce

Preparations:

  1. Minced garlic
  2. Cut onions
  3. Prepare the chicken and cut

Procedure:

  1. Add olive oil and Saute garlic and onion
  2. Add chicken wait until brown and cook
  3. Add soy sauce and vinegar
  4. Add salt , sugar, pepper corn and laurel leaves
  5. Let it boil
  6. Add oyster sauce
  7. Wait for 10 minutes
  8. Ready to serve

Why i choose Olive Oil? Thats because its very healthy! It is good for our body, skin and help us fight a lot of disease. Its very useful to our daily lives.
