#7 Ulog of Week 4 - A Day For Quiet Reflection

Yesterday June 1 it rained but only at night. We were thankful because during the MayFlower procession it did not rain, so they finished dry. But last night it rained so we had a nice cool night and slept well.

After lunch the skies got dark and thunder could be heard. Then the rain came. It was kind of strong but it brought cool winds. Luckily it was not that strong to make you worry.

I love the rain as long as I am inside. The cool, clean smell and cool breeze.. I stayed in my room, tried to play a few games. But most of the time I was reflecting. I was thinking about the death of my uncle. Made me realize that life is short. We will never know when it is our turn. Like last year a young woman in her early 40's, a bit overweight but seemed healthier than me. She came home from a walk and her mother was playing mahjong with friends in the living room. They said she went upstairs to her room, came down later and played with her dog. When she stood up, she just fell down and died on the spot. Every one panicked. Life is short and uncertain.

Seems scary but we must all have to accept it. My mom will be 93 , still ambulatory without help and can still do her personal hygiene, but I still worry because of her Alzheimer. I loose my patience at times, I try to control it but sometimes I can't help it. Maybe it is my frustrations and stress that causes it.

So like the rain softly falling, LIFE can start or stop anytime. This afternoon I am making my #Ulog while watching the Tawag Ng Tanghalan singing contest grand finals. My first bet did not make it, hope my 2nd one will will the grand challenge. OH the results came, well at least 3rd place. A day of quiet reflections and just taking it easy, So many things happening, maybe this one day will help make things easier, reflection and prayers.

Wouldn't you love to have a simple life? I would. But we can not really make the plans, we can just help move it to the direction you want.

Also I am thinking of plans for my grandson's first birthday and baptism. So many thoughts and plans flowing but the weather is calling me to bed hahah. That is why instead of calling it bad weather, we change it to bed weather.

So many things to do, I am slowly trying to put all the pieces together so I can come up with one concise plan. I hope I can.

June is also the start of classes for most schools in the Philippines but a few Universities have transferred to Aug. to June classes. UPV did so now my boarders are just going home, oh well.

Just be grateful for friends, family and life! With my second cup of hot coffee of the day, I can get on by!
