Ulog 2: Busy Day that Ended with a Sad News!

I woke up in the morning still filling a bit of that headache from the previous evening. I had tea and bread for breakfast after avoiding the morning doze of the drugs.

I got a call from my elder brother around 8:40am, he needed me to accompany his friend in taking some of his properties to his new apartment. In less than 30 minutes an open van had parked in front of my house, they came to pick up a standing fan and a freezer. After onloading them I entered at the back of the van to make sure nothing falls off...and then something funny happened.

My dogs started running after the van. Hahaha
She chased us for about 5 minutes before she finally gave up when the van start moving too fast.. The chasing kind of made me feel cared for you know. That is one of my 2 local dogs, i call Nicky..

We picked up one of my in-laws as we needed extra hands for the cleaning. After dropping off the load, we went back for the chairs he got for the sitting room. Still at the back of the open van under a harsh morning sun.
We spent almost all of the day trying to clean an arrange things in the 1 bedroom flat. It was a nice compound, with very good power supply. The new neighbours told us that most times to go for months without experiencing power outage for once which is a big surprise for most part of Nigeria.

That is the parlour, not very big but ok, no curtains yet as you can see that's my elder brother and elder sister, they came to see the apartment and also drive us home. and here Peter posing with the paintings on the wall. He is a painter and he loved the designs on the wall.

And now the sad ending to what was a great day started, when we got to Yenagoa, our state capital, we decided to pay a family friend a visit at the Hospital. She had been there with her two months old son who had been operated on twice within the past 2 weeks. As we were heading to the hospital a call came in from the mom, she said "our boy has gone to rest with the Lord, he fought death till the very last minute. I won't cry, i still have two lovely daughters. There are those who don't even have 1."

I looked at her two daughters who had no idea of what was happening, i just had to return the Glory to God. May the soul of our little Prince rest in Peace.
