Ulog# 2: Family Reunited | Family Reunion

What more can I ask for when you have happy and supportive family and relatives. Things may change and time may pass but family will always be there.

Hello Steemians I am here today to share how my family celebrated our family reunion. It's been years since we planned to have a family reunion. But because of the availability and the time conflict we can't organize one. But finally we have decided.

Relatives abroad had the chance to attend since it vacation and classes hasn't started yet. After 4 years of not seeing them finally we got together. We traveled to the province early since it's gonna be a 3 hour ride.

Yey finally at 9 am we arrived at the venue, we had to prepare for the program and arrange. But I had a short time to look at the venue.

Let's Check The Venue

The beach resort is located at Kawit Medellin Cebu. We chose the resort since my moms province is Medellin and it's an easy access some to our relatives also. The place is quiet and we really had the place exclusive for us.

Here is a panoramic view of the beach. The beach has fine white sand and clear water. It's not crowded so we can enjoy swimming as we want.

If you wish to stay overnight they also have affordable rooms to stay in. The place is clean and I can assure a compete relaxation while on the resort.

Now let's move on to the highlights of this event. Having a Family has always been the best part of my life. Tough times challenged us but we'd always come back to our roots. Most of us have moved far to find greener pasture and had a better life abroad but whenever one member of the family struggles and is in need of help and assistance we were always there to help.

The Originals

ALDO is actually a combination of my grandfather and grandmother's name. AL for ALDING and DO for DOSING. They had 8 children, Lola was a banana que vendor and Lolo was a fisherman.

This is the children, grandchildren and the great grandchildren of the eldest sibling Tiyo Predo he also has the biggest family.

And here's my family, my mom is the fifth child. Toughest sibling of them all. She was the right hand of my grandfather when it comes to work. Id say there is always that child who works the most.

After the picture taking we had lots of fun activities and games. We had this Mr. and Ms. Little Aldo that was participatedd by the great grand kids. And as their reward they were crowned and instead of a plaque or trophy they were given banana que and a paddle. This symbolizes our grandfather and grandmother's bread and butter.

After all the activities and games we had all the time to bond and had chit chats. It has been a long time we get to see each other. But thanks to social media we are updated by each were about.

And lastly the day ended with smiles and laughter. Next reunion will take years again to happen. We'll be back to reality and work again but despite the distance we will be we'll still have each other no matter what.

My favorite photo, together with my cousins, I remember when I was young I'd always see my cousins bond and spend nights talking. Before it was always the best time, coming home in the province. It was always my anticipated time every summer.

FAMILIES are like branches on a tree, we grow in different directions yet our ROOTS remain as one.
