Ulog #22 Typhoon Mangkhut
Finally after how many days!
I'll be able to post another ulog. Last Friday we were preparing for Typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut). It started raining late at night and I was still using my computer until it hit around 1:00 am wherein you could hear the strength of the wind and the rain. I was hoping that there would still be electricty but it started flickering and we had no power afterwards. I thought we would still have work the following morning so I alarmed my phone at 6am and slept.
When I woke up with my alarm , you can really hear how intense the wind and rain was. The good thing was when I checked my phone, they decided to tell us not to go to work for our safety. I wouldn't imagine who would even show up if it was that strong. I pretty much slept the whole day and read some ebooks(Haven't read after a long time haha).
During the night I was bored so I decided to take some photos of one of our source of light

My brother managed to cook for us despite the crappy circumstances.
Whenever we have no electricty we bring out our board games and playing cards. We played Monopoly Empire and I lost to my brother. I guess this is something that you would appreciate when you have no electricty the bonding with each member of the family because you're not distracted with your gadgets.

I grew up with Hurricanes which is the same as a typhoon.
The runs on the stores, raised prices, power outages, flooding.
Lots of things.. then the hurricane would cause tornados.
Do you get tornados... just wondering.

That "light" is scary. I'd be afraid of burning down the house. Glad you are all ok after the typhoon. Here we wheel out the generator and wake the dead with its deafening noise. I'm hoping we all get through the rest of hurricane season without another hit anywhere. Harvey tried to get us last year, but we were really lucky. Ike got us back in 2008, but damage was not too bad.

Hahaha, better than nothing. We always make sure that we turn off all the candles before sleeping. At least you guys have a generator maybe in the future I might invest in that if I get funds. My family is safe but I feel bad for all the other people who got affected, the current death poll is 81. That's good that nothing happened to you guys. Thanks for the comment

Thank you so much! Yes that's true, the town that is near us was the one that got affected so much. The landslides that were cause by the typhoon killed a lot of people already.

Don't worry they are. I just feel sorry for the miners because they were the most affected.
