A Day in my Life... #ulog 50
Today we decided to get out of town and take a drive down to Pasadena and visit the Huntington Gardens.
It's been a while since I've been out of town so it was nice to take a little trip down south.
It was a beautiful warm day there, and there was this interesting looking metal building. I walked by it to check it out and there were people inside relaxing on benches and strange sounds were coming from inside.
It being a garden, (actually several very large gardens) there were a lot of beautiful plants and flowers. Of course my favorite are the camellias and there is a very large collection there. My favorite are the white ones because back at home I usually only see red or pink ones, and occasionally pink and white striped ones.
There was also this really cool head sculpture sitting in the middle of a plant bed. It wasn't there last time I visited so I was really surprised to see it! It's been a long time since I last visited, probably 4-5 years ago.
This tropical plant really intrigued me. It had a growth like for seeds or some kind of fruit but it looked like some kind of wooden ear of corn 🌽. Really cool!
In the same area in the tropical greenhouse, there was delightful rotted stump with moss and ferns growing in and around it. Living in a desert, this is a really appealing scene to me and I would love to live in a place with this kind of climate.
This final shot is of the big moon bridge in the Japanese garden. It's a really nice park-like area and there were actually several groups of people with blankets around on the lawn relaxing and enjoying the ambiance.
Until next time...

Very beautiful and really big garden! It looks refreshing with a lot of green trees! The white flowers are also my favorite. Very lovey!
The head sculpture is very amazing and the metal building is interesting. I also like the big moon bridge in the Japanese garden. Very good looking!
